πŸš€ Getting Started

How do I create a DietLog account?

Go to dietlog.today/login.html and click "Sign Up". Enter your name, email, and password β€” or continue with Google. No credit card needed. Your account is free forever.

How do I set my health goals?

After logging in, go to Dashboard β†’ click "Goals" (🎯) in the sidebar or bottom nav. Set your daily calorie target, water goal, protein goal, target weight, steps, and sleep hours. Click "Save Goals".

How do I switch to Hindi?

Click the "ΰ€Ήΰ€Ώΰ€¨ΰ₯ΰ€¦ΰ₯€" button in the top navbar or mobile menu. The entire app UI, including all food names and AI responses, will switch to Hindi. Click "English" to switch back anytime.

How do I enable dark mode?

Click the πŸŒ™ moon icon in the navbar. It toggles between dark and light mode. Your preference is saved automatically and remembered across sessions.

How do I log food?

On the Tracker page, tap "+ Add Food" or the quick chip. Search for your food (e.g. "Dal Tadka", "Chicken") in the search bar β€” results from our Indian + Global database appear instantly. Select one or enter manually. Tap "Add Food" to save.

What Indian foods are in the database?

DietLog has 3,000+ Indian foods including: Roti (all types), Rice dishes, Dals (masoor, moong, chana, rajma), Sabzi (palak paneer, aloo gobi, bhindi), Non-veg (butter chicken, mutton curry, egg curry), Street food (samosa, pav bhaji, chole bhature), South Indian (idli, dosa, sambar), Sweets (gulab jamun, kheer, barfi), Dairy, Dry fruits, Beverages, and more β€” all with Hindi names.

How does the barcode scanner work?

On the Tracker page, tap "πŸ“· Scan Barcode". Allow camera access when prompted. Point your camera at any packaged food barcode. DietLog automatically looks up the nutrition info from Open Food Facts database and fills in calories, protein, carbs and fat. Barcode scanner is a Pro feature.

How do I delete a food entry?

In the Food Log section, each food item has a πŸ—‘ (trash) icon on the right. Tap it to delete that entry. The calories are immediately removed from your daily total.

Can I view previous days' data?

Yes! Use the Week Selector at the top of the Tracker section. Tap any day (Mon–Sun) to view that day's food log, water intake, and other data. Days with logged data show a green dot.

How do I log water intake?

Tap the πŸ’§ Water card or "Water" quick chip. The water modal shows 8 glasses. Tap each glass to fill it β€” each glass = 250ml. Your total is saved automatically to Firestore in real time.

How do I log my weight?

Tap the βš–οΈ Weight card on the Tracker page. Enter your current weight in kg and tap "Save". Log your weight regularly (daily or weekly) to see your progress trend over time.

How do I track sleep?

Go to Sleep section (😴) in sidebar or bottom nav. Use the + / βˆ’ buttons to set your sleep hours. Also rate your sleep quality with the emoji scale. Tap "Save Sleep Log". DietLog tracks this daily.

How do I log mood and stress?

Go to Mood section (😊). Choose your mood from the 5-emoji scale (Sad to Great). Use the stress slider (1–10). Tap "Save Mood". Understanding mood patterns helps you correlate them with diet and sleep.

How do I log exercise?

Go to Exercise section (πŸƒ). Select your exercise type from the dropdown (Walking, Running, Gym, Yoga, Cricket, etc.). Enter duration in minutes, steps (optional), and calories burned (optional). Tap "Log Exercise".

πŸ€– AI Coach

How many AI messages do I get?

Free users get 3 AI messages per day. Pro users get 10 messages per day. The message count resets at midnight. Upgrade to Pro from the Pricing page for more messages.

Can I talk to the AI in Hindi?

Yes! DietLog AI responds in the same language you write in. Type your question in Hindi and get an answer in Hindi. The AI understands Indian food, Indian lifestyle, and common health concerns for Indian users.

What can I ask the AI?

You can ask about: calorie counts of Indian foods, high-protein vegetarian meals, weight loss tips, how much water to drink, gym vs home workout, sleep improvement, stress management, period/cycle questions, meal plans, and much more.

How do I reset my password?

On the Login page, click "Forgot password?" below the password field. Enter your email address and click "Send Reset Email". Check your inbox for a password reset link from Firebase.

Is my health data private?

Yes, completely. Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore with strict security rules β€” only you can access it. We never sell, share, or analyse your personal health data. The Doctor Share Link is the only exception, and you control when to generate it.

How do I delete my account?

Currently, to delete your account, email us at dietlog.today@gmail.com with the subject "Delete Account". We'll delete all your data within 48 hours. A self-serve delete option is coming soon.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Go to the Pricing page and click "Get Pro β†’". You'll be redirected to Razorpay's secure payment page. Pay via UPI, card, or netbanking. Pro activates instantly after payment.

Can I cancel anytime? What about refunds?

Yes, cancel anytime from your account settings. Your Pro features stay active until the end of your billing period. We offer a 7-day refund for annual plans if you're not satisfied β€” email dietlog.today@gmail.com.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept: UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), Debit and Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), Netbanking, and Paytm wallet β€” all via Razorpay's secure payment gateway. All transactions are in Indian Rupees (β‚Ή).
