Welcome to DietLog. By accessing or using DietLog (dietlog.today), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DietLog, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use DietLog. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free users, and Pro subscribers.

2. Medical Disclaimer

DietLog is NOT a medical service. The information, tools, and AI coaching provided by DietLog are for informational and wellness purposes only. DietLog does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any diet, exercise, or health program
• Do not use DietLog as a substitute for professional medical advice
• The calorie data in our database is approximate and for reference only
• AI Coach responses are informational and not medical advice

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DietLog. By using DietLog, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or bans.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use DietLog for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt DietLog systems
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access DietLog
• Attempt to circumvent AI message limits through automated means
• Upload malicious content or attempt to inject code
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use DietLog to store information about others without their consent

6. Pro Subscription & Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at purchase. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the selected payment method on a recurring basis. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months except in the case of our 7-day trial cancellation policy for annual plans.

7. Free Plan Limitations

Free plan usage is subject to fair use. We reserve the right to limit or restrict usage if we detect abuse, including excessive AI message requests through automated means.

8. Intellectual Property

DietLog and all its content, design, code, and features are owned by DietLog and protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from DietLog without written permission.

You retain ownership of your personal health data. By using DietLog, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the service.

9. Third-Party Services

DietLog integrates with third-party services for our database, AI coach, and food data. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. DietLog is not responsible for third-party service availability or accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

DietLog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DietLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro subscription in the past 3 months.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting dietlog.today@gmail.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 48 hours.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use. Continued use of DietLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
